Example #3, New Age Genre

The basic idea of this example is to capture the original theme (IIm - IV - V) in the New Age genre, using the same functional musical structure, but with substitute chords (suggested by MAJA). In this example, instead of Em11 - G - A, the functionally equivalent chords are used: Em7/Em11 - Gadd9 - Asus2/Aadd9. The basic tonality is no longer entirely E Blues/D major. In part it is, but there is a modulation to the key of A major. This adds spatial dimension to the music characteristic of the New Age genre. Screenshots from MAJA showing selected chords/scales are provided below.

Chords: Em7/Em11 - Gadd9 - Asus2/Aadd9
Scales: E Dorian, E Blues, A Mixolydian
